Minerals Girona specialises in extraction and micronisation of minerals to produce fillers and extenders for industrial use.

HISTORY
 

Minerals Girona belongs to the Conesa Group, which has its origins in the metallurgical industry. The company's headquarters are in Figueres, a strategic location that has afforded easy access to the European market.

Since its origins in 1978, Minerals Girona has remained faithful to its initial objective of supplying a wide range of products to cover market demand.


PRODUCTS
  Our registered trade-mark mineralia covers a wide range of micronised products sold under the brand-names of Blanc Roc, BariStar, BariFlor, BariNit, Talkron, MicaFlor, Dolkron, KaoFlor and SiliNit.

PRODUCTION PROCESS
 

The raw materials used in our products are carefully selected from sources in Africa and Asia. We make exhaustive checks of the sources and import processes, and keep stores of large quantities of the minerals at our plant in Figueres. Here they are washed, concentrated and micronised in processes adapted to the industrial use for which they are destined.

After more than twenty years' experience and research, we can offer optimum solutions for all industry's needs, enabling our customers to make the most efficient use of fillers and extenders in their products.


APPLICATIONS
 

Our products are at present used in the manufacture of all types of paint, (in liquid or powder form, for decorative, industrial, anticorrosive or other uses). We also supply manufacturers of coatings, plastics, detergents, varnishes, putties, adhesives, friction materials, soundproofing, ceramics, etc.


R&D / QUALITY
 

Our Research and Development Department works in three main fields – localisation of new deposits, optimisation of production processes and introduction of new production lines.

In addition, our quality department applies sophisticated security checks and rigorous quality control systems which ensure constant improvement of the product at every stage of the process. Minerals Girona has complied with ISO standards since 1994.

Present productive capacity of the company enables production of high quantities with total reliability.
